The Power By Rhonda Byrne

The Power of Love

Like most people who read this this blog, you would have heard of Rhonda Byrne, the author of The Secret. Whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or not, does not change the fact that Quantum Physics is real. The Power, by Rhonda Byrne is still one of my favourite books, and I go and read it frequently.

Rhonda Byrne has written numerous books and I've read many of them. The Power by Rhonda Byrne is the book that has had the most impact on me. Like I said, I have read the book many times, the first was in 2010 and as soon as I started to live my life with the advice from the book, good things started to flow to me.

So what is The Power? It's actually LOVE. Yes, love! The Power by Rhonda Byrne demonstrates that how our thoughts turn into our feelings. Think about it? When you are thinking angry thoughts about someone else how does that may YOU feel? If you are jealous of someone else how does that make YOU feel? If you constantly worrying about money, people, the world blowing up etc how does that make YOU feel? I bet it makes you feel bad because it sure as hell makes me feel bad if I have such thoughts.

Now think of when you think of love for someone how does that make YOU feel? When it's a beautiful day and you are full of gratitude for what you have in your life, how does that make YOU feel? When you are enjoying life you feel good! And that's the secret; what you feel you attract more of in your life.

In a nutshell the Secret is about being aware of your thoughts (and spoken words) that create your feelings. Those of us who practice The Law of Attraction have amazing proof that feelings do attract more of what you are feeling in your life.

Now when I say you attract things, I am not saying you will win the lottery (although I'm working on that myself lol and people have done it) because it also boils down to belief! But I can honestly write this blog and tell you that I have attracted amazing good things into my life when I intentionally work hard at how I feel. I can also tell you in the times when I've been down and let my thoughts rule my feelings in a negative way I've certainly attracted more crap into my life than I thought I could handle. This stuff is powerful and it works. It works when you work at it.

The Power by Rhonda Byrne is one of my favourite books and I've underlined many messages in it. It is an easy to read book with beautiful quotes from those who have used the law of attraction way before our modern times. It's also full of lovely illustrations.

If you don't want to buy the book but would like to try some exercises to see if this works then here's what I do that puts me in a feeling of constant joy, and when I have constant joy and gratitude, waves of good things just come to me. It's true! I keep a journal of them. I can also tell you that when I'm not in a constant state of joy things go wrong which was proven to me recently as I've been hit bad with the flu. In fact, at time of typing this I've had it for nearly two months. This has been physically and mentally exhausting and it has attracted some not so good things into my life. The one thing I do know, is now that I'm working on getting back in the feeling of joy and love, and not focusing on how my health is at the moment, nice things are happening again.

PRACTICE THESE TIPS TO FEEL BETTER

  • When you wake up don't complain, dread or have any other negative feeling; instead, wake up and say "something amazing is going to happen today" and feel joy that you are alive and have another day to experience this amazing planet.

  • Go for walks and when you walk past people wish those people happiness and love (seriously I do this).

  • Be in a state of constant gratitude and think about the wonderful things you have, even just having the money to buy a cup of coffee.

  • If you don't like your life then change it! For example, I can't work a 9-5 job in an office for someone else. It goes against all my values of what life should be, so I chose to work from home. Yes, it can get tough when cashflow isn't flowing however, I appreciate so much what I do and I feel good. So what I am saying, if you are not happy then you need to visualise what you really want, and concentrate on that happy picture every moment you can.

  • Start to notice the beautiful things around you - the song of a bird, the beauty of flowers, a little baby, smiling dogs etc. When you notice these things, say to yourself "I love that flower".

  • If you constantly think about love it will turn any negativity into something better. It takes effort, I'm not saying you will find this easy, but with practice and being consistent eventually you will. I've been there many times (in a bad space) and turned it around for myself by practising these things.

  • Smile at people as you walk by

  • Take up a hobby that you have been too scared to do before i.e. painting, photography or even how to start a blog to make money

  • Do some sort of meditation on a daily basis - imagine breathing in love and breathing out fear (the opposite of love)
