This is such a powerful statement. To me it makes me ask the question "Who Am I?"... and then it moves on to "Am I The Person I Want To Be?"
I can answer, "yes, 95% of the time" but there is always room for improvement.
So how do we become the person you would want to meet?
I guess it comes down to your values. I'm no expert in deciding what a person's values might be, but I sure know what mine are, and I'm happy to share:
In no particular order other than the first four.
Family
Freedom
Nature
Freedom of Speech
Being able to live my life the way I want to, not what others think I should be doing
Security
Happiness
Spirituality
Fitness
Health (Boy! I've had some scary issues there)
Love
Peace
Fun and good humour
Recognition for my achievements
Friends
Being friendly
Caring
Considerate
Etiquette
Cheeky and sassy

That's pretty much me in a nutshell. So obviously I'd like to associate with people who have similar values to myself.
It's pretty simple really, nut out your own personal values, look at them (a lot) and when you catch yourself thinking or acting against those values, stop! Stop, and meditate on why you are acting against your own values and correct what you don't like.
I believe in the Law of Attraction; what we think and feel we attract into our lives. So if you want to hang out with people just like you, then watch the way you think and act.
When your thoughts, feelings and actions are aligned to your personal values you will attract the same amazing people into your life. Just be warned, when we bring in thoughts of hate, envy, resentment, anger etc..... then you might end up connecting with people like that. No thanks.
